The service life of the water based oil coating itself and the total usable life of the strand woven lumber differ, broken down as follows: |

1. Normal outdoor exposure (partial shade, moderate rain/sun): 18–24 months |

2. Harsh outdoor conditions (full sun, heavy rain, coastal salt air, high humidity): 12–18 months |

Water based oil is a penetrating, breathable finish (not a thick paint film). It does not peel or crack but gradually wears/washes away from surface foot traffic, UV rays, and rain erosion. So with regular re oiling maintenance every 1–2 years, and with consistent oil protection, the lumber lasts 25–35 years outdoors, far longer than regular solid wood decking |

Strand woven (heavy) bamboo strips have ultra high density and compact internal structure. They strongly resist erosion from sea salt spray, humid air, strong sunlight and UV radiation common at beaches. Treated with outdoor grade water based oil, they prevent corrosion, mildew and rot far better than ordinary solid wood in coastal conditions. |

Dense bamboo strands minimize water absorption. Seawater or rainwater drains quickly without soaking into the wood. This avoids swelling, warping and surface damage, keeping the bench stable even in wet beach conditions. |
